Hi every body, I am organising a benefit for the children of Haiti. The benefit will be held in Edmonton. Alberta Canada.It is being organised in support of Unicef. It wll be an evening of entertainment featuring both local and International performing and visual Artists.There will also be performances from the Edmonton schools at three levels,elementary, junior high,and senior high.The programme for the evening also includes dance performances,poetry reading,a live and silent auction and a taste of ethnic foods. I am in discussions with the Winspear theater as a possilble venue.The date is third week in April 2010 to be confirmed shortly. I shall keep you all informed as things continue to fall into place. Today I woke up begining to feel a little bit nervous.This project is mighty bigger than I thought.Lots of letters to be sent out and followed. 18 days to go ..... Shoulders thrown back,head held high,okay !!!!lets face the day

Thank you Edmonton !!!!. I am going out today handing out posters and picking up donations. There is going to be a Smart car from Mercedes Benz for the live auction...Fabulous.....A round trip ticket from West Jet to where ever they fly... Yey!!!....and lots more goodies.
7 days to go!! Jitter..,Jitter.., definitely Jitter .., Jitter..!! I have to find a printer pretty much all the material to go into the souvenir programme is ready. Its looking good.Thanks to God I have been blessed on this project. I was on the radio two days ago,9:30 'The Light' That was an experience.I liked it apparently it went very well. From the feed- back I got.Femi was there as my rock as usual. Thanks Femi...
the event is getting closer.you need to focus to get to the event without getting too tired. it is a tremendous amount of work to do such a project.wishing you God's blessins in this and your other goals.do not be deterred despite the challenges.sunmolu beckley
Thank you cousin Sunmolu for your tremendous support.I really appreciate this. 4 days to go.... I am still looking for a good Emcee who doesnt want to charge me for the job.This is supposed to be charity work. Man..., have I had to do all kinds of negotiations. I also need an auctioneer to auction off the Smart Car from Mecedes Benz and 2 West Jet round trip tickets to any where West Jet travels plus a Beautiful Laides Urban bike from Revolution Cycle. There are all kinds of goodies in the silent auction too.From Fragrance baskets from the Bay huge baskets too, to Golf rounds, Books for Children - encyclopedias, Art works, Power tools, Spa treatments oh my gosh !!!!!lots of goodies. 4 days and counting!!!!!
An Amazing evening every one.What a collection of talent and positive energy. By His Grace it went very well.Feed back has been very positive.
